abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for skin disinfection and cleansing which is a W/O type emulsion, and suitably used for disinfecting and cleansing the skin parts which are difficult to be washed by using specific amounts of synthetic oil, nonionic surface active agent, amphoteric surface active agent and a disinfectant and purified water. n CONSTITUTION: The subject composition is composed of 20 to 70wt.%, preferably 40 to 60wt.% of synthetic oil such as glycerol trioctanoate and/or mineral oil, 1 to 25wt.% of a nonionic surface active agent such as a water-soluble silicone oil, 0 to 2wt.% of an amphoteric surface active agent such as 2-akkyl-N- carboxymethylhydroxyethylimidazolium betaine, 0.001 to 1wt.% of a disinfectant such as alkyldiaminoethylglycine hydrochloride or benzalkonium chloride and purified water.
