abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the far infrared ray generator of low cost by using amphibole as radiation bodies. CONSTITUTION:The powder 2 of amphibole is disposed around a heat generating body 1, such as Nichrome wire, and the outer peripheral part is covered with a metallic cover 3, such as copper, stainless steel. Amphibole is a natural mineral having a high far infrared ray radiation rate, and by using it, the far infrared ray generator of low cost is obtained. As the far infrared ray radiation rate is not decreased even when powdered amphibole is blended and formed with plastics, such as vinyl chloride, the far infrared ray generating bodies of various shape is allowed to be formed, so that the far infrared ray generator applied in a wide range is obtained by using this method.
