titleOfInvention | Phantom for evaluating strain of mri image |
abstract | PURPOSE: To make a two-dimensional lattice pattern long in the axial direction and to evaluate the strains of a large number of MRI images by multislice photographing by arranging square pillars made of a resin two-dimensionally at an equal interval to receive the whole in an airtight container and introducing a paramagnetic metal ion aqueous solution in the space of said container. n CONSTITUTION: The housing of a phantom container has a structure preventing the leakage of an aqueous solution scaled in said housing and the square pillars made of a resin in the container are two-dimensionally arranged at an equal interval when said pillars 3 are looked from an A-surface. The cross-section of each of the square pillars is square and the parts of the gaps 4 between the square pillars are filled with a paramagnetic metal ion aqueous solution (e.g. aqueous nickel sulfate solution) emitting a high NMR signal. The whole container is one for preventing the leakage of the aqueous solution while the paramagnetic metal ion aqueous solution contains a substance for emitting a high NMR signal and the square pillars arranged two-dimensionally at an equal interval are composed of members emitting a low NMR signal and a lattice pattern is formed by both of them. Therefore, by measuring the lattice interval on an image; the strain of the image can be quantitatively evaluated. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
