titleOfInvention Antifouling coating
abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the deposition and propagation of marine organisms by including a specified binder and a pigment. n CONSTITUTION: A binder consisting of 10-90 wt.% of an amine of the formula (R' is monovalent hydrocarbon group derived from diterpene; R 2-3 are H, 1-18 C alkyl or 6-12 C aryl) and 90-10 wt.% of a film forming resin slightly soluble or swelling to sea water (e.g.: vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer), 25-55 wt.% of a pigment (e.g.: ZnO) having a solubility to sea water of 0.5-10 wt.ppm, and 40 wt.% or less of a pigment having a solubility to sea water less than 0.5 wt.ppm are dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g.: toluene). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
