Molecular weight: 15,000-25,000 dalton; isoelectric point: pH 4.8; action: neutrophilic action to induce chemical chemotactic reaction; thermal stability: stable in aqueous solution at 56°C for 30 min; amino acid sequence of N terminal: sequence of the formula. n USE: Being inflammation mediator, inflammation can be controlled using a specific antibody to the substance. Indicating antiulcer action, useful for therapy of cancer. n PROCESS: For example, after fluid paraffin being injected into the abdominal cavity of guinea pig, when macrophage penetrates sufficiently, muramyldipeptide is injected into the abdominal cavity to give stimulation to produce MDNCF-2. Next, the crude MDNCF-2 is preferably subjected to ultrafiltration, an ion exchange column, and a reversed phase chromatography in sequence to be purified. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
