abstract | NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [X is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkylthio; n is 1, 2; R 1 is lower alkyl; R 2 is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkinyl; R 3 is lower alkyl, lower cycloalkyl, phenyl which may be substituted with 2 or less substituents (halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy)]. n EXAMPLE: N-Methyl N-α-metyl-p-phenoxybenzyl p-chlorobenzamide. n USE: A fungicide for agricultural and horticultural purposes. n PREPARATION: According to the reaction equation, a p-aryloxyaralkylamine derivative of formula II is allowed to react with a carboxylic acid halide of formula III (Y is halogen) to give the compound of formula I.
