abstract NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R 1 is methyl, ethyl or trifluoromethyl; R 2 is methyl, halogen or H; R 3 is methyl or ethyl). n EXAMPLE: N-(1,1,3-Trimethyl-2-oxa-4-indanyl)-5-chloro-1,3-dimethylpyrazole-4- carboxamide. n USE: An agricultural and horticultural germicide. n PREPARATION: A substituted pyrazolecarboxylic acid expressed by formula II or reactive derivative thereof (e.g., 5-chloro-1,3-dimethylpyrazole-4-carboxylic acid chloride) is reacted with a substituted aminoxaindane (e.g., 1,1,3-trimethyl-2- oxa-4-aminoindane) expressed by formula III to afford the compound expressed by formula I.
