PURPOSE: To make it possible to set the diameter and length of orifices of a filter freely by forming minute channels by sealing the upper side of minute grooves with a flat plate. n CONSTITUTION: A through hole 13 for introducing blood is made in the center of a silicon single-crystal base plate 2 forming small orifices of a filter, and is surrounded by a bank 14 operating as the filter. The top surface of the bank 14 is formed to be flat so that it can be bonded to a glass flat plate, and moreover numerous minute grooves 15 for passing blood corpuscles are provided. A component, e.g. a red blood corpuscle 16, introduced from the blood introduction hole runs in the flow of blood plasma and passes through the groove sealed with the glass plate, with its shape changed. According to this constitution, the dimensions of the grooves made in the surface of the silicon base plate can be varied easily, and since the dimensional precision is high, the diameter and length of small orifices of the filter formed in this way can be selected freely.
