titleOfInvention Production of peptide or acid amide compound
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a peptide or acid amide compound in good yield by reacting an active ester of a protected amino acid or peptide with an amine or imine using a mixed system of water and an organic solvent compatible therewith as a solvent. n CONSTITUTION: An active ester expressed by formula I (A is residue of amino acid or peptide; R is protecting group at the N-terminal of amino acid or peptide) is reacted with an amine or imine expressed by formula II (B and D are H or organic group or both, together with the adjacent N, may form heterocyclic ring) using a mixed system of water and an organic solvent (e.g., dimethylformamide, chloroform, dioxane or tetrahydrofuran) compatible therewith as a solvent to afford a peptidic compound or acid amides expressed by formula III (e.g., benzloxycarbonylalanylamide). Protection of the C-terminal can be omitted and the process is simplified to improve yield. Thereby, the above-mentioned method is industrially advantageous. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
