titleOfInvention Composition for intrabuccal use
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a composition for intrabuccal use effective against plaque, capable of controlling decalcification of dental enamel, comprising a chlorous acid liberating compound, a protonic acid and an anti-decalcification agent. n CONSTITUTION: This composition for intrabuccal use is obtained by mixing 0.-01-10wt.% of a chlorous acid liberating compound (e.g. sodium chlorite) with 0.01-6wt.% of a protonic acid, an anti-decalcification agent (e.g. indium (III)) and a carrier such as a dentifrice and a mouth washing solution and preparing. The composition can be prepared into a dosage form such as toothpaste and oral liquid composition. The amount of the protonic acid is an amount to adjust the composition to pH≤5.5 and to buffer the composition. Citric acid, malic acid, etc., are cited as the protonic acid. The composition for oral cavity has no trouble to the surface of hard tissue of oral cavity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
