titleOfInvention | 1-tertiary-butoxy-omega-alkene and use thereof as aroma substance |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL: 1-Tert.-butoxy-ω-alkene represented by formula I (n; 4-10). n EXAMPLE: 1-Tert.-butoxy-5-hexene. n USE: This new material is a component of an aroma substance compsn. and imparts aroma characteristics giving an impression of a maidenhair to perfume or a product to be aromatized and shows good adhesiveness and alkali stability. Further, this material is useful as a novel synthesizing intermediate of E-7, Z-9-dodecadienyl acetate being the pheromone of the grape berry moth. n PROCESS: ω-Alkenol represented by formula such as 5-kexen-1-ol and isobutene are reacted in the presence of an acidic catalyst such as anacidic ion exchanger, if necessary, in a solvent such as methyl tert.-butyl ether at 10-100°C under atmospheric pressure or pressure of 1-10 bar to be tert.-butylated to obtain the compd. represented by formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
