titleOfInvention | Diagnostic agent |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a diagnostic agent which can detect sensitively liver functions based on the slight difference the normal liver functions and affected liver functions before necrosis of liver cells, by using amino acids and pyrine compounds. n CONSTITUTION: The subject diagnostic agent contains (A) A 1 : sulfur-containing amino acids selected from L-methionine, L-cystine, L-cysteine, A 2 : aliphatic amino acids selected from glycine, L-alanine, L-valine, L-isoleucine, L-norvaline, L-norleucine, A 3 : acidic amino acids selected from L-aspartic acid, L-glutamic acid, L-asparagine, and L-glutamine and, (B) aminopyrine, monomethyl-4- aminoantipyrine. After the diagnostic agent is orally given, the metabolites of these substance in blood are determined by the NMR picturization or the CT picturization of the liver. Or the carbon dioxide (the final metabolite) in expiration is determined to measure the activity of hepatic functions for diagnosis. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
