abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject resin composition containing different kinds of thermoplastic resins in finely mixed state and giving an excellent molded article having mechanical toughness and the characteristic features of both resins by using a graft polymer produced by a specific macro-monomer process as a solubilizing agent. n CONSTITUTION: The objective polyester resin composition is composed of (A) an aromatic polyester, (B) a thermoplastic resin other than the component A, preferably polystyrene, polyphenylene oxide or ABS resin and (C) a graft polymer produced by macro-monomer process and containing a backbone component consisting of an epoxy group-containing vinyl monomer unit (e.g., glycidyl esters or glycidyl ethers, especially glycidyl methacrylate) and a branch component consisting of a polymer segment having high compatibility to the component B.
