| abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a remedy for nephritis, especially useful for treating glomerulonephritis and membranous nephritis, showing inhibitory action on crisis of nephritis, especially Hyman nephritis, having low toxicity and low side effects and excellent safety, comprising a specific compound having immunomodulating action as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A remedy for nephritis containing 6-p-chlorobenzyl-5H2,3,6,7- tetrahydro-5,7-dioxothiazolo(3,2-a)pyrimidine shown by formula I as an active ingredient. The active ingredient is blended with a carrier and an auxiliary, pharmaceutically manufactured into a dosage form for oral administration such as tablet, capsule, powder or granule or suppository, solution, ointment or injection for intravenous injection, intramuscular injection, etc., and oral administration is preferable with respect to simplicity of use and safety. The active ingredient is suspended in 5% solution of gum arabic to give a suspension, which is administered once a day or five times a week by sensitizing action of Fx1A antigen and rise in protein in urine and serum anti-Fx1A antibody can be improved. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
