titleOfInvention | Synthesis of high vinyl polybutadiene using molybdenum catalyst system |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain high vinyl polybutadiene in a high yield of about 75% by polymerizing 1,3-butadiene monomers in the presence of a catalyst comprising a molybdenum-containing compound and an aluminum-containing compound. n CONSTITUTION: High vinyl polybutadiene is provided by polymerizing 1,3-butadiene monomers in the presence of a catalyst comprising (a) a molybdenum- containing compound produced by modifying at least one compound selected from molybdenum pentachloride, molybdenum tetrachloride, and molybdenum trichloride with at least one selected from alkyl carboxylic acid containing about 10-30 carbon atoms and aryl carboxylic acid containing 7-30C, and (b) an aluminum-containing compound obtained by modifying a trialkyl aluminum compound having a 1-8C alkyl group with at least one of alkyl phenol, allyl phenol, and aryl phenol. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO |
