titleOfInvention Production of coated cloth
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title waterproof, moisture-permeable, flexible cloth of high durability by coating a base fabric with a mixed solution prepared by dissolving a polyurethane elastomer, specific fluororesin copolymer and polyamino acid urethane resin in a water-miscible organic solvent, followed by making a wet solidification. n CONSTITUTION: A base fabric is coated with a mixed solution prepared by mixing each water-miscible organic solvent solution of (A) a polyurethane elastomer, (B) a fluororesin copolymer with fluororubber as the skeleton polymer and (C) a polyamino acid urethane resin. The resultant coating layer is then solidified, thus obtaining the objective flexible, waterproof, air- and moisture- permeable coated cloth excellent in resistance to washing and surface smoothness. The mixing ratio for the above three solutions is optimally as follows (on a resin basis): A=50-80wt.%; B=10-40wt.% and C=3-15wt.%. Under this ratio, coating unevenness will not occur during the coating operation, thus obtaining the coated cloth 9000-13000g/m 2 .24hrs in moisture permeability and ≥1500mmH 2 O/cm 2 in water pressure. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio
