titleOfInvention | Production of long chain alkyl polysaccharide |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the title surface-active polysaccharide causing no heat deterioration and little in scorch (discoloration) by bringing an alkyl polysaccharide crude product containing as impurities higher alcohols into contact with a supercritical gas. n CONSTITUTION: The objective long chain alkyl polysaccharide containing 8-18C alkyl groups can be obtained by supercritical gas extraction in which an alkyl polysaccharide crude product containing as impurities 8-18C higher alcohols is brought into contact with a supercritical gas (pref. carbon dioxide). In said supercritical gas extraction, it is preferable that water and/or a lower alcohol be added, as entrainer, to the supercritical gas. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
