NEW MATERIAL:A neutral saccharide-containing luteinized hormone containing ≥18% of the neutral saccharide chain component in the saccharide chain component composition of the β-subunit thereof. n USE: A kidney growth-accelerating agent. n PREPARATION: For example, a swine pituitary is homogenized in an ammonium sulfate aqueous solution, adjusted to a pH of 3.0 and centrifuged to collect a supernatant solution, which is adjusted to a pH of 6.5-7.0, mixed with ammonium sulfate to become 0.5 saturation, cooled and centrifuged. The resultant precipitates are collected, suspended in a buffer solution, dialyzed and subsequently lyophilized. The lyophilized powder is dissolved in a buffer solutions and fractionated with ConA-sepharose column to collect a fraction eluted with 0.2M methylmannoside. The fraction is purified with a column for isoelectric point electrophoresis to provide a kidney growth factor. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO&Japio |
