titleOfInvention Skin cosmetic
abstract PURPOSE:To provide a skin cosmetic containing a chitosan having a specific average molecular weight, an acidic mucopolysaccharide and its salt, having excellent age-preventing effect and skin-beautifying effect and giving excellent appearance such as skin texture and transparency. CONSTITUTION:The objective skin cosmetic contains at least one kind of component selected from (A) a chitosan having an average molecular weight of 1,000-10,000 (soluble in water even in the absence of acid and produced by the chemical treatment or enzymatic decomposition of a chitosan produced by the deacetylation of chitin) and (B) an acidic mucopolysaccharide (e.g., hyaluronic acid, dermatan sulfate or chondroitin 4-sulfate) or its salt (preferably having a molecular weight of 1.000-100,000). It exhibits skin aging-preventive effect such as chapped skin ameliorating effect, cuticle improving effect and humectant effect.
