abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an antifungal agent composition containing an azole-based antifungal agent and an arylmethylamine-based antifungal agent, showing excellently synergistic effects by using both the antifungal agents and having fungistatic action and fungicidal action with a small drug amount. n CONSTITUTION: An azole-based antifungal agent is blended with an arylmethylamine-based antifungal agent in the weight ratio of 100/1W1/500, preferably 25/1W1/25. Increase in the ratio of the arylmethylamine-based antifungal agent having low toxicity provides synergistic effects and can especially preferably reduce toxicity of drug. The aimed substance can be pharmaceutically manufactured by adding 0.1W10.0wt.% of the aimed substance to an ordinary pharmaceutical carrier. N-4-tert-Butylbenzyl-N-methyl-1- naphthalenemethylamine may be cited as the arylmethylamine-based antifungal and miconazol as the imidazole-based antifungal agent. The antifungal agent composition is useful for treating mycosis caused by a fungus belonging to the genus Candida, Aspergillus or skin mold. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
