abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant which is neither liquid nor viscous but solid and has an improved lubricating property by reacting a specified molybdenum compound with an organozinc compound and an amine compound in a mineral oil or a synthetic hydrocarbon oil. CONSTITUTION:An organomolybdenum compound of formula I (wherein R is a prim. or sec. alkyl or an aryl) is reacted with an organozinc compound of formula II (wherein R' is R), an amine compound (e.g., phenyl-alpha- naphthylamine) at 165-230 deg.C in a mineral oil or a synthetic hydrocarbon oil, and the precipitated product is separated.
