titleOfInvention Connector
abstract PURPOSE: To easily connect or disconnect a signal system to or from a mounted semiconductor device by providing a connector having a magnetic section which is attracted to the magnetic section provided on a mounted semiconductor substrate in corresponding to the magnetic section of the substrate. n CONSTITUTION: On a mounted substrate 2, a square recessed section 7a is provided to the extent corresponding to the package main body 6 of a semiconductor device 1 and an iron piece 8 is put in the section 7a as a magnetic body. The attaching surface of a connector 3 has a constitution corresponding to the substrate 2 and formed of an electrode group 4b extended in four directions and a magnet piece 12 put in a recessed section 7b provided in the middle of the electrode group 4b. The magnet piece 12 of the connector 3 is attracted to the iron piece 8 of the substrate 2 by magnetic attracting force through the main body 6 of the device 1 and each electrode 4b of the connector 3 is brought into contact to a connected state with each electrode 4a of the substrate 2 through a reed pin 5. Therefore, the fitting and removal of the connector 3 to and from the substrate 2 becomes extremely easier and connection and disconnection of a signal system can be performed extremely easily. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
