titleOfInvention Conductive heterocyclic polymer and its manufacture
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a conductive heterocyclic polymer having a long molecular chain and an improved conductivity by closing and converting a polymerized compound containing keto group into a heterocyclic thiophene polymer or pyrrole polymer, and then imparting conductivity by doping by use of a general means. n CONSTITUTION: A compound represented by the formula I (Ar' represents an aromatic group) [p-bis(3-dimethylaminopropane-1-on)benzene or the like] is reacted with a compound represented by the formula II (Ar" represents an aromatic group) (e.g. terephtalaldehyde or the like), the produced polymerized compound is alkylated as occasion demands to provide a polymerized compound containing keto group which is represented by the formula III (R represents H, C 1-10 alkyl; and (n) represents a number of 25 or more). This is reacted with NH 3 or a sulfur-phosphor compound to form a polymer represented by the formula IV (X represents S, NH), which is then doped by a general means as acting iodine thereto in gas phase at 100°C, whereby the objective conductive polymer is provided. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
