titleOfInvention Novel peptide &m:a peptide of the formula.
abstract NEW MATERIAL:A peptide of the formula. USE:An antihypertensive agent having an activity for inhibiting an angiotensin I conversion enzyme(ACE). PREPARATION:For example, the usual meat of a fish such as a yellowfin tuna is minced, suspended in an 1M acetic acid-20mM hydrochloric acid aqueous solution, heated at 120 deg.C for 5min in an autoclave and subsequently centrifuged to give a supernatant. The supernatant is mixed with an activated octadecyl silica gel resin and stirred for 1hr and the resin is separated and eluted with 15% acetonitrile. The eluting solution is concentrated under reduced pressures and the concentrated solution is filtered with a gel and applied to a high speed liquid chromatography for the purification of the product, thereby providing the peptide of the formula.
