titleOfInvention Dispersant and detergent containing it
abstract PURPOSE: To exhibit a superior dispersibility for solid particles hy using a dispersant composed of an alkaline earth metal salt of a low molecular weight polymer or copolymer of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid which is prepared in the presence of an organic mercaptan as a telogen. n CONSTITUTION: An organic polymer, which is used as a component of a dispersant for solid particles, is prepared by carrying out an addition polymerization of acrylic acid, etc., in the presence of an organic mercaptan such as hexylmercaptan, etc., as a telogen. An alkaline earth metal salt of a polymer of an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid or a copolymer of an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and a vinyl monomer, which is capable of copolymerization, of 3000 or less in average molecular weight and 6-18 in carbon number is obtained by adding an alkaline earth metal such as calcium, etc., to the aforementioned polymer. A superior effect in dispersing and removing soil due to solid particles such as mud is exhibited by blending this dispersant into a detergent. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
