PURPOSE: To essentially completely inactivate various viruses without causing much loss of physiological activity of a plasma protein component by heat- treating an aqueous solution containing a plasma protein component at a specific temperature for a specific period. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution containing a plasma protein component such as coagulation factor, fibronectin, plasminogen, antithrombin III and albumin at a concentration of 0.1-30W/V%, preferably 1-10W/V% is heat-treated at 50-70°C for 15-30hr, preferably at 60°C for 20hr preferably in the presence of 10-200g of sugar (preferably mannitol, sorbitol or xylitol) as a stabilizer based on 100ml of the aqueous solution. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
