titleOfInvention Method for detecting chemical weapon
abstract PURPOSE: To detect a chemical weapon VX as well as S-LOST and N-LOST by bringing a fluorescent detection reagent into contact with a chemical weapon and causing the reagent to react on the chemical weapon in a mode where the fluorescence emitted from the reagent is varied. CONSTITUTION: A chemical-physical reagent exhibiting different extents of solubility n LOST or VX and in the boundary layer between a detection reagent and a solvent (generally, water) and emitting fluorescence in an LOST phase or a VX phase with a wavelength or a quantum yield different from, normally significantly higher than that in a solvent phase (water phase) is employed as a detection reagent. the detection reagent is soluble to the phase of a chemical weapon and it is diffused into the phase of the chemical weapon upon touching and the fluorescence being emitted therefrom is varied. Variation of fluorescence represents variation of the wavelength or the quantum yield.
