abstract | PURPOSE: To form a film having stable hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability, by forming a predetermined film having hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability to the surface of a base material by a plasma polymerization method or a vapor deposition polymerization method. n CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 2a, 2b are provided in a reaction container 1 and a base material S is placed therebetween. A film having hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability is formed to the surface of the base material S within the reaction container 1 by a plasma polymerization method or a vapor deposition polymerization method.
