abstract PURPOSE: To form a film having stable hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability, by forming a predetermined film having hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability to the surface of a base material by a plasma polymerization method or a vapor deposition polymerization method. n CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 2a, 2b are provided in a reaction container 1 and a base material S is placed therebetween. A film having hydrophilicity and ultraviolet ray shielding ability is formed to the surface of the base material S within the reaction container 1 by a plasma polymerization method or a vapor deposition polymerization method. At this time, at least one kind of a compound selected from an amino compound represented by general formula R 1 -NH 2 (wherein R 1 is 10C or less hydrocarbon), a cyane compound represented by general formula R 2 -CN(wherein R 2 is 10C or less hydrocarbon), an azo compound represented by general formula R 3 -N=N-R 4 (wherein R 3 and R 4 are 10C or less hydrocarbon or hydrogen) and amino acid represented by general formula R 5 -CH(NH 2 )COOH(wherein R 5 is a substituent constituted of C, H and N) is introduced from a supply port 5. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
