abstract PURPOSE: To improve the development property of the title composition against water, and the mechanical strength of a printing plate by composing the resin composition of a specified partial inner crosslinking copolymer, a specified linear polymer, a compd. contg. a basic nitrogen atom, a photopolymerizable ethylenic unsatd. monomer, and a photopolymerization initiator as essential components. n CONSTITUTION: The partial inner crosslinking copolymer is obtd. by subjecting a monomer mixture contg. 40W95mol.% of an aliphatic conjugated diene monomer, 1W30mol.% of α,β-ethylenic unsatd. carboxylic acid and 0.1W10mol.% of a compd. having at least two groups capable of effecting an addition polymerization to a radical emulsion polymerization. The linear polymer contains at least 30mol.% of conjugated diene monomer units in a molecule, and has the mol.wt. of at least 5,000. The resin composition is composed of the partial inner crosslinking copolymer, the linear polymer, the compd. contg. the basic nitrogen atom, the photopolymerizable ethylenic unsatd. monomer, and the photopolymerization initiator. Thus, the excellent development property due to water of the composition is obtd., and the printing plate has the excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance, folding and bending resistance and rubber elasticity. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
