titleOfInvention Enteric granule of salazosulfapyridine
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain salazosulfapyridine of enteric granule useful for treating rheumatoid arthritis having relieved side effects and improved absorption efficiency, comprising salazosulfapyridine as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: Salazosulfapyridine, an acidic azo compound of sulfapyridine and 5-aminosalicylic acid, as an active ingredient is properly mixed with a binder, disintegrator, dispersant and conventional excipient and granulated by conventional procedure to give a granular substance. Then the granular substance is coated by suspending an enteric agent (e.g., eicoat), a plasticizer (e.g., macrogol 6,000) and optionally talc by conventional procedure. Generally the coated substance is packed into capsules to give the aimed substance. A daily dose is 500mg-3g calculated as salazosulfapyridine per adult and internally administered. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
