titleOfInvention | Wholly aromatic copolyimide ester and production thereof |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the subject polymer excellent in dimensional stability in both the flow direction and the direction rectangular thereto, dimensional accuracy, heat resistance, mechanical properties, etc., and suitable for electrical or electronic components, etc., by copolymerization of a phthalimide-based compound, etc. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A phthalimide-based compound is prepared, e.g., by reacting (i) p-phenylenediamine with (ii) a hydroxyphthalic derivative at -50-100°C, dehydrating and cyclizing the resultant product. The resultant phthalimide-based compound is used as the raw material for a repeating unit of formula I and reacted with (B) the raw material for another repeating unit of formula II, (C) the raw material for another repeating unit of formula III (n is 0 or 1) and (D) the raw material for the other repeating unit of formula IV, e.g., at 200-400°C to provide the objective polymer with 1.0-1.0×10 5 Pa a melt viscosity at 300-400°C and having 20/80-90/10 mol ratio of the components (B)/((A)+(C)+(D)) and 10/11-11/10 mol ratio of the components (D)/((C)+(A)). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
