titleOfInvention | Wholly aromatic polyester molding article |
abstract | PURPOSE: To provide melt processability and improve mechanical properties of an obtained molding by mixing specified melting processable, wholly aromatic polyester with a solid filler and/or a reinforcing material. n CONSTITUTION: (A) melting processable wholly aromatic polyester which consists of 10-90 mol.%, preferably 20-30 mol.%, repeating portion of a formula I and 10-90 mol.%, preferably, 70-80 mol.% repetition part of the formula II, where at least some of Hs existing in the aromatic cycle can be substituted by substitution groups selected from a 1-4C alkyl group, 1-4C alkoxy group or halogen in the repetition parts and which produces a thermotropic melting phase in more than 2.5 dl/g logarithm viscosity (60°C, in pentafluorophenol, a conc. 0.1 wt.%), more than 275°C melting point (differential scanning calory method) and in temp. being 275-350°C is mixed with (B) the solid filler (for example, talc) and/or 1-60 wt.% reinforcing material (for example, glass fibers). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO |
