titleOfInvention Oxide superconductive material
abstract PURPOSE: To reduce production temperature of superconducting material by adding a specific amount of Cs 2 O to ceramic of LnBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x (Ln is Y, La, Nd, Sm, etc.). n CONSTITUTION: For example, each specific amount of powder of Y 2 O 3 , BaCO 3 and CuO is weighed so as to make YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7-x composition and 1.0-20wt.% calculated as Cs 2 O of Cs 2 CO 3 powder is weighed. The weighed substances are mixed with ethanol in a wet state by a ball mill of agate, the blend is heated, dried, put in an alumina crucible and calcined in air under a given condition. Then the calcined powder is coarsely ground, further recalcined under a given condition, the doubly calcined powder is ground in a wet in the same way as as that of the previous procedure, dried, granulated, molded and the molted article is burnt in air under a given condition. By this method, a superconducting ceramic material can be produced at a temperature about 50-100°C lower than that of conventional methods. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
