abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a raw material outstanding in surface activity, suitable for electrodes and catalysts, by bringing lead acetate and an oxidizing agent into contact with the surface of inorganic fiber to coat said surface with lead oxide. n CONSTITUTION: The surface of inorganic fiber such as glass fiber, rock wool, asbestos fiber, alumina fiber, silica fiber, carbon fiber, synthetic oxide whisker or metallic fiber is brought to contact reaction with lead acetate and an oxidizing agent such as a hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide or calcium percarbonate to coat said surface with lead oxide. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
