titleOfInvention Deodorant
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a deodorant high in the reactivity with aldehyde, having no offensive smell and stable against oxidation, by mixing a solid substance containing acidic sodium sulfite and aluminum oxide with water to remove a volatile component and moisture. n CONSTITUTION: 0.5W200pts.wt. of a powder composed of aluminum oxide, aluminum silicate, aluminosilicate or a mixture of two or more kinds of minerals based thereon and about 100W500pts.wt. of water are added to 100pts.wt. of a sodium hydrogen sulfite powder to be uniformly mixed therewith. At this time, sodium hydrogen sulfite is dissolved to generate acidic irritant odor gas. Then the mixture is allowed to stand for about 1W3hr, the generation of the irritant odor gas is stopped. When the mixture thus formed is dried under reduced pressure or atmospheric pressure to remove moisture and a volatile component, a solid product is obtained. The obtained solid product is ground to be formed into a powder or a binder is further added to said powder and the resulting mixture is granulated to be used as a deodorant. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
