abstract |
PURPOSE: To readily and efficiently obtain the optical isomer of 1- hydroxyethylferrocene by reducing acetyl-ferrocene with a specific microbial cell or treating racemic body of 1-hydroxyethylferrocene with a specific enzyme. n CONSTITUTION: Among the optical isomer of 1-hydroxyethylferrocene, the dextro- rotatory (+)-(S)-1-hydroxyethylferrocene is obtained by reducing acetylferrocene using a microbial cell selected from yeasts belonging to Candida and Saccharomyces and a bacterium belonging to Nocardia and the levo-rotatory (-)-(R)-1-hydroxyethylferrocene is obtained by treating the racemic body of 1-hydroxyethelferrocene with an alcoholdehydrogenase of horse liver. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
