titleOfInvention Thin sheet laminate and its production
abstract PURPOSE: To perfectly dissolve an adhesive at the time of reprocessing of old paper by selecting a synthetic resin insoluble in a neutral aq. medium but soluble in a non-neutral aq. medium as a synthetic resin for bonding respective thin sheet pieces. n CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin is soluble in an aq. medium having a pH value less than 6 or larger than 8. A synthetic resin soluble in an acidic aq. medium can have an amino group and is, for example, an amino group- containing polymer comprising at least one acrylate or aminoacrylate. An especially suitable synthetic resin is one having a pH value larger than 8 and stable in an acidic aq. medium. Especially, a copolymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and a neutral comonomer is especially pref. not only in the perfect solubility in an alkaline aq. medium under a regeneration recycle condition of a paper product but also in the formation of thin sheet pieces after regenerated paper. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
