titleOfInvention Thermoplastic resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition which can give a molded article excellent in various physical properties and suitable for automobile parts through injection molding or extrusion molding by mixing a thermoplastic resin with polyester fibers prepared from a naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol. n CONSTITUTION: The title composition is obtained by mixing a thermoplastic resin, such as polyethylene terephthalate or an acrylonitrile/styrene copolymer, with polyester fibers (filament fibers having a monofilament fineness of 1-10 de, preferably 1-5 de, and preferably having a strength of 3-10g/de, an elongation of 10-50%, and a shrinkage in boiling water of 0.5-10%) prepared from 90mol.% or more naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, as acid component, and 85mol.% or more ethylene glycol, as glycol component in an amount of 5-60wt.%, preferably 10-55wt.%, based on the total weight of the composition. This composition is excellent in strength, rigidity, processability, and dimensional stability, improved in impact resistance, and effective in weight reduction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
