abstract | PURPOSE: To improve the dimensional stability of the title roller by laminating a specified substrate layer composed of a phenylsilicone rubber mounted on a metal core axis directly or through a heat-resisting elastic layer and a specified surface layer formed by a liquid silicone rubber in this order. n CONSTITUTION: The substrate layer 2 which is composed of the phenylsilicone rubber and has a heat conductivity of ≥7×10 -4 cal/cm.sec.deg. and the surface layer 3 which is formed by the liquid silicone rubber and has a surface roughness Rz of ≤5μm and a JIS-A hardness of ≤60° are mounted on the metal core axis 1 in this order. Thus, the deterioration of a rubber layer 2 in the neiborhood of the interface between the layer 2 and the core axis 1 is delayed, and the change of a roller dimension caused by a silicon oil is prevented. And the fixing of a full color image with a high quality is effected in such way as to be wrapped a toner, and a silicone oil is uniformly applied on the surface of a roller, and the releasing property between the toner and the surface of the roller is improved. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
