abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a moth-proofing hygroscopic composition having excellent moth-proofing performance as well as excellent hygroscopic performance and raised ignition point and utilizable as a moth-proofing moisture-absorption agent for clothes, by occluding trioxane in silica gel. n CONSTITUTION: The objective moth-proofing hygroscopic composition is produced by occluding trioxane in silica gel either by mixing molten trioxane with silica gel or by mixing solid trioxane and silica gel, thereby occluding evaporated trioxane in the silica gel. The content of trioxane in the composition is preferably ≤50wt.%.
