titleOfInvention Filter medium
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a filter medium having superior heat and chemical resistances, satisfactory light and wear resistances by using polyphenylene sulfide fiber and methaxamide fiber. n CONSTITUTION: Polyphenylene sulfide fiber made of a polymer contg. phenylene sulfide repeating units by ≥90% of all the repeating units is mixed with metharamide fiber made of a polymer contg. metharamide repeating units by ≥90% of all the repeating units in 10:90-90:10 weight ratio by an arbitrary method and the mixture is woven into a filter medium. Both the fibers may be used after cotton mixing, mix spinning, combining filament or mix twisting or may be woven by mixed weaving in the form of filaments or spun yarns. Since both the fibers are used, the filter medium has the advantages of both the fibers. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
