abstract | PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain the subject compound useful as an antineoplastic agent, etc., by a small number of processes, by reacting 2'-deoxyuridine with fluorine gas in an aqueous solution and subsequently with a carboxylic anhydride or halide. n CONSTITUTION: For example, 2'-deoxyuridine is added to an aqueous solution containing a carbonate so as to be 3-20% concentration and reacted with fluorine gas diluted with nitrogen, helium, etc., preferably at 0-25°C to prepare 2'-deoxy-5,6-dihydro-5-fluoro-6-hydroxyuridine. To 1mol of the resultant compound, 4mol of a carboxylic anhydride or halide of formula I [R is ≤20C aliphatic hydrocarbon or (substituted)phenyl; X is acyloxy or halogen expressed by RCO 2 ], an organic base, etc., are added and heated, thus obtaining the objective compound of formula II. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
