titleOfInvention Process and apparatus for anaerobic fermentation
abstract PURPOSE: To disturb only the growth of sulfate reduction bacteria without blocking anaerobic fermentation by adding suitable quantity of chemicals which selectively block the growth of sulfate reduction bacteria into a fermentation tank, effecting anaerobic fermentation with said chemicals mixed. n CONSTITUTION: A suitable quantity of chemicals (e.g., gentamicin) which selectively block the growth of sulfate reduction bacteria is added into a fermentation tank 1 or a pipe 3 connected thereto by means of devices 5, 6 so that anaerobic fermentation is effected with the chemicals mixed. As a result, only the growth of sulfate reduction bacteria can be blocked without disturbing anaerobic fermentation, whereby methane fermentation can be carried out under preferable conditions, causing waste water treatment to be efficiently performed. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
