titleOfInvention Nonaqueous resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a composition having low toxicity, weak flammability, excellent dispersibility to pigment, luster of coating film and adhesiveness, by copolymerizing a specific monomer with a polyfunctional (meth)acrylic acid ester in a nonaqueous solvent in the presence of a polymerization initiator. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A monomer (e.g., o-, m- or p-vinyltoluene, o-, m- or p- stearylstyrene) shown by the formula (R 1 is H or CH 3 ; R 2 is 1W20C alkyl) is copolymerized with (B) a monomer selected from polyfunctional acrylic acid ester and polyfunctional methacrylic acid ester (e.g., ethylene glycol diacrylate or trimethylolethane methacrylate) in an nonaqueous solvent (e.g., ligroin or n-hexane) consisting essentially of a petroleum aliphatic hydrocarbon in the presence of a polymerization initiator (e.g., benzoyl peroxide or lauryl peroxide) to give a composition. The composition is useful as a coating compound, adhesive and liquid developer for electrostatic photography. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
