NEW MATERIAL: The subject compd. of formula I {R 1 is H, an alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or the like; R 2 is a hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl or two adjacent groups R 2 together form a 1-4C alkylenedioxy; R 3 is H, an alkyl, alkoxy, amino, alkylthio or the like; R 4 is H, an alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, amino or the like, (n) is 1 or 2; (q) is 0 to 4; (m) is 1 to 3; (p) is 1 to 4, where m+p is <5) or the salt thereof. n EXAMPLE: 3-Butyryl-4-[2-(hydroxymethyl) phenylamino]-3-methoxyquinoline. n USE: It is useful as strong inhibitors of gastric acid secretion. n PREPARATION: For example, a compd. of formula II (X is a group substitutable by amine) is allowed to react with a compd. of formula III to obtain the compd. of the formula I. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO |
