titleOfInvention Agglutination reaction agent for detecting lyme disease antibody
abstract PURPOSE: To provide the reagent which makes specific reaction with the antibody of a Lyme disease patient with good sensitivity by sensitizing the antigen components derived from Borrelia burgdorferi to carrier particles. n CONSTITUTION: The antigen component drived from the Borrelia burgdorferi to be used is obtd. from strain pathogens such as Borrelia burgdorferi T-17, B31 and TLO-004. For example, the established pathogen of the above-mentioned T-17 is cultured and after the propagated T-17 strain pathogen is recovered from the medium, the cells are disintegrated and the supernatant thereof is recovered, by which the antigen component is obtd. The Borrelia burgdorferi is separated from ixodides by a known method and is also separable from the blood, etc., of the Lyme disease patient. The used carrier particles are insoluble in the liquid medium used for sensitization, preservation and measurement and, for example, polystyrene, styrene/methacrylate copolymer, etc., are used for the same. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
