titleOfInvention | Measurement of enzyme or substrate |
abstract | PURPOSE: To simply and economically perform the quantitative analysis of an enzyme or substrate in a short time, by reacting pyrroloquinoline quinone with a reduced coenzyme produced by a dehydrogenation reaction and quantitatively analyzing the produced hydrogen peroxide. n CONSTITUTION: When an enzyme or substrate relating to a dehydrogenation reaction is quantitatively analyzed, a dehydrogenase is reacted with the substrate in the presence of a coenzyme and the produced reduced coenzyme is reacted with pyrroloquinoline quinone. The resultant hydrogen peroxide is measured by a known method. The pyrroloquinoline quinone, a dehydrogenase coenzyme discovered in a recent year, has a chemical name of 4,5-dihydro-4,5-dioxy-1H- pyrrolo[2,3-f]quinoline-2,7,9-tricarboxylic acid and occurs in the cell membranes of bacteria, mitochondria, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio |
