titleOfInvention Confirmation of enterobacterium in drinking water, bathing water and wastewater, food and drink
abstract PURPOSE: To simply and rapidly detect the presence of an enterobacterium by bringing two samples of a culture medium collected from a preliminary presumptive test into contact with a culture medium containing each special substance. n CONSTITUTION: Two samples of a culture medium collected from a preliminary presumptive test are respectively brought into contact with (a) a suitable culture medium containing a useful amount of o-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactopyranoside and (b) a culture medium containing a useful amount of p-nitrophenyl-β-D- glucopyranosiduronic acid and cultured at 30-40°C for 18-24 hr when recognizing the samples judged to have the possibility for the presence of an enerobacterium in a preliminary presumptive test by an enzymic test. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO
