abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a substrate reagent, containing a substrate, oxidizable with an enzyme having oxidizing action or pseudoenzyme thereof and providing an analytical means and condensed phosphoric acid derivative consisting of plural phosphoric acid units, capable of stabilizing a detection system and useful for enzyme immunoassay, etc. n CONSTITUTION: The objective substrate reagent, capable of stabilizing a detection system (e.g., enzyme immunoassay) using a substrate (e.g., o- phenylenediamine) oxidizable with an enzyme (e.g., horseradish peroxidase) having oxidizing action or pseudoenzyme thereof and providing an analytical means and containing a condensed phosphoric acid derivative (e.g., pentasodium tripolyphosphate) consisting of ≥3 phosphoric acid units.
