titleOfInvention Preparation of reagent
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the simple and efficient method of sepn. by bringing the extraction liquid of blood cell components (AL) of horseshoe crabs into contact with water insoluble polysaccharides consisting of a specific constituting component or the deriv. thereof or these polysaccharides or deriv. immobilized on an insoluble carrier. n CONSTITUTION: The AL extraction liquid is brought into temporary contact with the water insoluble polysaccharides contg. β-1,3-glucan (GL) as the constituting component or/and the water insoluble deriv. of the polysaccharides contg. the GL as the constituting component or the polysaccharides contg. the GL as the constituting component or/and the deriv. thereof immobilized on the insoluble carrier. The water insoluble polysaccharide contg. the GL as the constituting component or/and the water insoluble deriv. of the polysaccharide contg. the GL as the constituting component or/and the polysaccharide contg. the GL as the constituting component or/and the deriv. thereof immobilized on the insoluble carrier are thereafter removed from the AL extraction liquid, by which the reagent specific to endotoxin is obtd. These water soluble derivatives are obtd. by a heat treatment of natural polysaccharides, for example, curdlan, etc., obtd. from cell walls of various bacteria, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1989,JPO&Japio
